19 September 2016

Cloud hosting provider Host Virtual, Inc. (Host Virtual) has opened its second Point of Presence (PoP) at the Telehouse North Data Centre in London. Host Virtual, which has global headquarters in Los Angeles, California, United States, specializes in scalable, self-service dual-stack IPv4 and IPv6 clouds and deploys Linux, VOIP or FreeBSD servers “to any location within minutes”. By establishing its second PoP at the Telehouse North Data Centre gives the company the opportunity to extend its presence in Europe and the United Kingdom and gives its customers “direct access to important cloud service providers in the UK and EU”.

The Telehouse North Data Centre is located in London’s Docklands and houses London Internet Exchange (LINX). The centre offers carrier-neutral colocation and is “one of the most connected data centres in the world” catering to around 3,000 organizations such as carriers, content providers, businesses and global financial services enterprises. Host Virtual’s additional presence the Telehouse North Data Centre will mean its customers receive “additional high performance, low-latency connectivity and enhanced access to the EU's leading business hubs”.

"Establishing a second PoP in Telehouse’s Docklands campus provides our customers with direct access to important cloud service providers in the UK and EU,” explained Host Virtual's President, Mark Price. “It also connects our London data centre to one of the world's largest internet exchanges and connectivity hubs, and is therefore a win-win for our customers."

“We very much welcome this expansion of Host Virtual into Telehouse North. Today, Telehouse customers can connect via dark fibre to Host Virtual and over 530 partners flowing into the Docklands campus, from any of our London data centres,” added Telehouse Europe’s Sales Director, Michelle Reid.
