British company Hyve Managed Hosting is now a G-Cloud 8 provider. Hyve Managed Hosting, which was established in 2001, has headquarters in Brighton, East Sussex, United Kingdom. The company describes itself as a “mission-critical cloud hosting for business with a special focus on exceptional security and full management services”. It offers a wide range of services from web and cloud hosting to dedicated servers and co-location. It also offers DDoS mitigation services and Intrusion Prevention Systems. Its products and services are now available through G-Cloud 8, the latest iteration of the UK’s G-Cloud Framework.

The G-Cloud Framework was established in 2012 and is managed by the British government. It provides a framework which promotes cloud computing adoption especially within the UK's public sector. It offers a procurement framework that includes a list of vendors the government has pre-approved for public sector organisations. Hyve Managed Hosting will offer secure FTP hosting, business continuity, cloud adoption strategy, the provision of cloud servers and security audits through the framework.

“G-Cloud continues to offer public sector organisations far greater choice and access to the most innovative cloud, hosting and security services on the market,” explained Hyve Managed Hosting’s Director, Jake Madders. “By taking advantage of the agility and service ethos of companies like Hyve, the public sector can deliver their services more effectively and efficiently than ever before.” He added, “Attaining G-Cloud 8 status allows Hyve to connect with numerous forward-thinking public sector organisations, and help them transition and align their organisational needs with the correct IT infrastructure.”
