19 August 2016

Public cloud managed services provider Datapipe has acquired British cloud startup Adapt. Datapipe, which was established in 1998, offers solutions that help businesses optimise, manage and secure mission-critical IT services. The company’s range of services extend to managed cloud, managed security, managed storage and compliance solutions alongside collocation and managed AWS and Azure. Its acquisition of Adapt will help Datapipe extend its European footprint and “enhance capabilities for clients worldwide”.

Adapt, which has headquarters in London, United Kingdom, is one of the UK’s leading managed cloud services providers. An Advanced AWS Consulting Partner, Adapt specialises in “agile hybrid solutions” that leverage public and private clouds as a single service. Financial aspects of Datapipe’s acquisition of the company have not been released.

“Adapt and Datapipe both have cultures that focus on proactive, high-touch customer service and a commitment to customer specific solutions designed to meet clients’ individual business challenges,” explained Datapipe’s CEO, Robb Allen. “Our similar approach to guiding client’s on their cloud journey makes the acquisition a natural fit for us and will increase our scale and service capabilities in the United Kingdom, and the broader European market.”
