Non-profit Organization techUK to Support UK Cloud Awards in 2017

Non-profit organisation techUK will support the UK Cloud Awards in 2017. techUK, which has headquarters in London, United Kingdom, was formerly known as ‘Intellect’, changing its name in 2003. It is the UK’s technology trade association and provides a “collective voice for its members” which include tech start-ups and “established international players”. When it relaunched the organisation declared the aim to create over 500,000 jobs in the United Kingdom by 2020. It will be a media supporter and judge at the awards ceremony.

2017 UK Cloud Awards recognise innovation in the British cloud industry and will take place 15 March 2017. The event brings together many industry players including vendors and channel partners. Awards categories include Storage Product of the Year, Security Product of the Year, Productivity and Collaboration Product of the Year and HR Product of the Year. Companies considered for awards are judged by a panel of experts which techUK will contribute to. Companies that want to be considered for awards should submit applications before 24 January 2017.

“The awards showcase not just how the UK Cloud market is thriving but also the confidence and leadership of UK public and private sector organisations in their adoption and use of cloud,” explained an announcement on the techUK website. “Categories for the 2017 awards include Best Public Sector Cloud Project, Most Innovative SMB Cloud Solution and Cloud Personality of the Year”.
